My Dearest Christian Self, I hope this letter finds you in good spirits, but if you are going through difficult times, I want you to know that you are not alone. As the storms of life rage, it's crucial to remember that your faith is an anchor that holds you steady amidst the waves. I wanted to write this letter as an encouragement, a gentle reminder of the promises you hold dear.   Remain mindful that we all have seasons in our lives.  Some seasons produce a great harvest of plenty and unbelievable blessings from God. The blessings are meant to be enjoyed when they are placed by the hand of God before us.  Blessings are also meant to be a loving comfort to us when there is a scarcity of good things coming our way.  God gives us blessings so that they will touch our souls and infiltrate our very being.  Cling tightly to these loving memories as they guide you through the shadows of your troubled times.  First and foremost, remember that God is always faithful. God has been with you through every trial and will continue to walk alongside you, guiding your steps. In times of doubt, I urge you to trust God’s unwavering love and plans for your life. Remember the past Bible verses that have brought you peace, and hold them close to your heart.  Blessed and beloved Bible verses are sources of spiritual strength in difficult times.  Remember that the blessed verses spoke directly to your heart and soul, so you claimed them as your favorites.  Let the blessings of the Holy Scriptures retouch your heart and soul again today.  Their comfort and peace are timeless.  Amidst hardships, it's easy to become overwhelmed and lose sight of the blessings surrounding you. Take a moment to reflect on the goodness God has already poured into your life. Count your blessings, big and small, and let gratitude fill your heart. Even in the darkest times, there is always something to be thankful for.   God did not bring you this far just to bring you this far.  Do not take up that dreary defeatist attitude that can cover your soul with darkness.  When you feel like giving up, say, “God is not done with me yet.  Repeat this inspirational and comforting phrase every morning and night.  Remind yourself that speaking this phrase is not for God’s benefit but for your much-needed hearing.  Listen intently as you say each syllable and sound.  God is not done with you yet.  Furthermore, cherish the support system of fellow believers that God has placed in your life. Lean on your church community, small group, or close friends who share your faith. Seek counsel and encouragement from those who have walked similar paths or have overcome challenging circumstances. They can provide comfort, wisdom, and a listening ear when you need it most.    You tend to fall too deeply into your own thoughts and feelings.  You need someone to help pull you out of the way of your own diminishing and faltering beliefs.  Let your faith become the tipping point back onto the path of success and well-being.  Try to have as much faith in yourself as God has in you.  Seek a supportive soul who will not let you slip into a shell of sadness; listen to their counsel as if they were speaking for God.  Remember that in your weakness, God's strength is made perfect. You don't have to carry the weight of your burdens alone. Lay them at God’s feet in prayer, trusting that God’s grace is more than sufficient to sustain you. Even when you can't see a way forward, have faith that God works all things together for your good. Trust in God’s timing and His plan, even if it doesn't align with your own.   This is where you need to lean into active spiritual listening, my sacred heart.  I feel you pray with great devotion, fervent prayer, and compassionate commitment.  But do you listen to what God says to you as God responds to your prayers?  Learn to wait for the answer to your spiritual query.  Even God needs a chance to respond to what you are praying.  Lastly, remain steadfast in your pursuit of Christ. Spend time in His Word, letting it guide and nourish your soul. Draw near Him through prayer, seeking His presence, and finding rest in His embrace. Remember that your identity is founded in Him, and nothing in this world can shake that foundation.   Remember the saying, “What would Jesus do?”  Perhaps you can ask yourself, “What would Jesus have me do?”  I guess the first thing that should come to your mind is Jesu saying, “Listen to me, my child, I still love you and will lead you beside streams of clear and cool waters; you will find rest for your soul there.”   Remember that Jesus healed the sick person who lay upon his mat.  Can Jesus help you?  Jesus turned to the woman who had spent her life saving and trying to be healed from a blood flow; Jesus touched and healed her.  Will he not touch you?  Remember how Jesus spit upon the ground, mixed it with dirt and made mud, and placed the holy concoction on the blind eyes of a poor man?  Will Jesus open your blind spiritual eyes?    What Jesus did for them and many others, He will also do for you.  Have faith in your waiting.  In times of difficulty, remember this letter as a reminder of the strength and resilience you possess as a Christian. May it brighten your spirit and sustain you as you navigate the storms of life. Hold tight to your faith, for you are made stronger in the refining fire. Never lose sight of the ultimate hope and joy that lies ahead.  God Loves you, Jesus guides you, and the Holy Spirit will always empower you. With love and prayers, Your Encouraging Self P.S.   If this letter moves you, kindly share it with another soul who is struggling their way through life.  You are not in your struggle alone; there are many souls like you.  Perhaps you can be a blessing to those who need your help.  Once God shows you the way through a difficult season of life, perhaps you can help another struggling person navigate their way out of tuff times as a gesture of thanksgiving for what god did for you.
